   वह हाथ में पानी लेकर उसे चारों दिशाओं में छिड़कता है , अपने मुख से उस देवता का नामोच्चार करता है जिसके लिए उसने व्रत रखा है और उसी स्थिति में व्रत के दिन से तीसरे दिन तक रहता है .
